If you remember the Fifty-50 frame then you might be old or, at least, getting old. That being said you'll also remember how iconic the Balance frame was (used by the top names of the times, including Josh Petty, Brian Shima, Randy Spizer, Dom Sagona and Rob G - what a lineup).
What's changed? The h-block split is now wider at 105mm but keeps the classic shape of the groove. This keeps the feeling of groove tricks the same, with less risk of wheel bite. The maximum wheel size also increases to 60mm, for longevity and speed.
The hardware see's huge improvements, in keeping with the Prime frame. Only one Allen key is needed for the wheels and you can keep that side away from where you grind, so it will never wear down. The frame attachment bolt is also standard and any can be used (no special length/width needed).
The lines and shapes of the frame are tidied up, which enhances the classic but modern look.
If you want to skate with the juice blocks (which are still compatible) or anti-rocker wheels, the frame takes a maximum of 65mm wheels on the outer (60mm flat, though).
